10 - David O'Mahoney - From Cavalry to crushed (literally) to the Olympics, motivational speaking & gratitude diary workshops

David O'Mahoney was enjoying his career as part of the Cavalry in the British Army when one fateful evening he was knocked over and almost killed in a road traffic accident.

Doctors had to remove part of his skull to release the swelling on the brain and braced his family for the worst. Despite his near fatal injuries David survived and even insisted he went back to work with part of his skull missing!!

Unfortunately the accident inevitably eventually brought David's army career to an end and he was periodically left to fend for himself.

Watch this episode of the BeGlad Movement to find out more about David and the motivational speaking he does now, as well as gratitude journaling and the incredible story of how he made sure he didn't miss out on taking part in the Paralympics Opening Ceremony 2012.

If you would like to book David for a motivational speech as a key note speaker at one of your events or if you would like a creative workshop for your team on gratitude and gratitude journaling from a veteran of the British Forces then please do visit David's website by clicking here.

The BeGlad project is aiming to collect 100 stories of good coming out of bad and reasons to be glad by the end of 2018 to help support each other with our experiences and to raise money for the Samaritans and Action for Happiness. If you would like to donate it would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you!
